Alaska DWI Convictions:    

 

 

First DUI Offense:

Jail:  A minimum of 72 hours in jail.

Fine:  Approximately $1,500.

Drivers License Suspension: A minimum of 90 days.

 

Second DUI Offense:

Jail:   A minimum of 20 days in jail or more.

Fine:  Approximately $3,000.

Drivers License Suspension:  A minimum of one year drivers license suspension.

 

Third DUI Offense:  Class C Felony

Jail:  60-120 days in jail or more.

Fine:  $4,000 to $10,000.

Drivers License Suspension:  A minimum of 3 years or permanent revocation.

Commercial Driver BAC While Operating a Commercial Vehicle: 0.04%

BAC Zero Tolerance:  0.02% or more.

 

 

 

Alaska Implied Consent Law/Test Refusal Consequences: Yes. Refusal to submit to a preliminary breath test at the request of a law enforcement officer is a Class A misdemeanor.
