Can school officials lie to me and tell me nothing will happen to me if I make a statement and then use my statement against me to suspend or expel me or have me arrested?
No. Promising you immunity from prosecution would not be acceptable under the law. But they might properly tell you things such as "it will be better if you come clean;" or "I'd like to be able to tell the judge that you co-operated;" or "How do you think the judge will look at you if you are not willing to be truthful?"
