Are there certain crimes for which there is no parole eligibility?

Each state’s law dictates what classes of convicted prisoners are excluded from parole. Repeat offenders, drug traffickers, those who are security risks; those convicted of first degree murder, kidnapping, rape, arson; those serving a life imprisonment or a death sentence are typical examples.
