Is it a crime to pass a bad check or use a cancelled credit card?

Yes, in most states it is a crime to knowingly write a check on an account with insufficient funds, or upon a closed account, as well as to knowingly use a credit card that has been stolen, forged, canceled, revoked or is otherwise unauthorized.
