What if I change my mind and decide not to return the property to the owner?

Deciding to later keep the property you intended to use only temporarily and return to the owner is considered larceny. The perfect example of this is renting a car and then deciding not to return it. The lawful rental becomes a larceny at the moment you fail to return it on time, with the intent of keeping it.
