If you have been arrested and charged with a marijuana offense in Florida, there may be several defenses available to you. First, if you use marijuana for medical purposes, your medicinal needs can be used as a defense against conviction. Second, depending on how the marijuana was found in your possession, you may also be able to contest the search that led to the discovery of the marijuana.
In addition to charges listed in the Marijuana Penalties Table, you may still be charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI). If you have been arrested and charged with a Florida marijuana offense, you should consult a Florida marijuana lawyer to determine your available defenses.
